Effective February 15, 2021, the CodeGuard support center will be merging with the Sectigo support center. This means that support emails will come from support@codeguard.com, and the knowledge base will be hosted on sectigo.com. There will be no interruption of our services, and you will continue to receive top of the line support during and after this transition.

Why can't CodeGuard connect to my SFTP/FTP server?

There are a number of reasons why CodeGuard may not be able to connect to your FTP or SFTP site. The most common reason is that the username or password you are using are incorrect. You can validate that these are correct by testing them with a client like FileZilla (http://filezilla-project.org/) or Fetch (http://fetchsoftworks.com/).

If you are sure that your username, password and hostname are correct, then your hosting provider may be blocking connections from CodeGuard. Please contact your hosting provider and ensure that they are not blocking any of the following IP addresses:

  • 54.236.233.46
  • 54.236.233.28
  • 54.174.91.34
  • 54.174.153.212
  • 54.174.115.171

If that still does not resolve the problem, please contact CodeGuard Support.
