Effective February 15, 2021, the CodeGuard support center will be merging with the Sectigo support center. This means that support emails will come from support@codeguard.com, and the knowledge base will be hosted on sectigo.com. There will be no interruption of our services, and you will continue to receive top of the line support during and after this transition.

How do I change my hostname and port number?

To edit your website's hostname or port number, first, click on the name of your website in CodeGuard and then click on the Settings tab. The hostname and port number fields can be edited in the Advanced Configuration Options section of the page.

We recommend editing these fields with caution. Changing the hostname, port number, or root directory of your website will result in all of your backups prior to the day you edited this field being ineligible for our Automatic One-Click Restore feature. You will still be able to request and download zips like normal for manual restores.

One of the biggest values of CodeGuard is being able to restore your content when you need it the most.  If the hostname or port number changes CodeGuard cannot guarantee that an automatic restore will work, and it may prevent us from accurately reporting file changes. This is why we recommend only editing these fields if you are sure of what you are doing.
