Installing your WordPress CodeGuard Plugin is very easy. Simply follow these steps, and you'll be backing up your WordPress website and database in no time.
Step 1:
Log in to the CodeGuard dashboard and click to add a WordPress website.
On the following screen enter the name of your website's URL.
Step 2:
Next, you will be asked to download and install the CodeGuard WordPress plugin.
From your WordPress Dashboard, select the 'Plugins' item on the left of your screen.
Click 'Add New.'
Click 'Upload Plugin'
Once the plugin is done uploading, click 'Activate Plugin.'
Open the CodeGuard Plugin on the left menu bar of your dashboard.
Step 3:
Next, you will need to save a Unique Access Key. Back in the CodeGuard dashboard, you will see an Access Key at the top of the next page (This key will also be emailed to you).
Copy and paste that key into the Unique Access Key box inside the WordPress plugin and click 'Save.'
Step 4:
Back in the CodeGuard dashboard, click the 'Test Access Key' button.
If the check passes, you have successfully added your WordPress website to CodeGuard! If the check fails, please double check that you copied and pasted the correct Access Key inside the plugin.
Backups will automatically begin to run daily, but go ahead and click 'Create Backup' if you wish to begin your first backup right away.
Your first backup is now running! When it's completed, you will see its information below.
