Effective February 15, 2021, the CodeGuard support center will be merging with the Sectigo support center. This means that support emails will come from support@codeguard.com, and the knowledge base will be hosted on sectigo.com. There will be no interruption of our services, and you will continue to receive top of the line support during and after this transition.

Request Zip

If you would like to verify what is being backed up on your site, or if you need to perform restore-related activities, you may need to request a zip of your backup. To do that, follow these steps.

Step 1. First, pick the site you need the zip for from the list of your sites.

Step 2. Select the "Restore" tab under your site's URL.

Step 3. Click on the "Restore Options" button next to the backup you need. If you want a zip file of your database, these can be found below the website backups in this window. If you are requesting a zip file of a database, please disregard Step 5. Your database zip file will be generated in Step 4. If your backup date is not shown here, click "View All Backups".

Step 5. Select the content that you would like to download. If you want to download the entire backup, simply click "Download Entire Backup" in the top right. Otherwise, select the files and folders you'd like to download and click "Download Selected"

Your zip file is now being generated. You will receive an email notification when it has completed, and a link to download the file will also be available from the "Restore" tab. The zip files do expire, so please download it within 48 hours or you will need to request a new one.

If your zip file is over 1GB, you may run into some trouble downloading the file through your browser. Please see this support article for suggestions on downloading large zip files. If you have any other questions about this, please contact CodeGuard Support.
